Tali Shammas is a fiction writer, lawyer, and PhD candidate. Her latest work is a gothic horror fantasy set in the early 1900s. An eclectic reader, she delights in classics, historical fiction, thrillers, and speculative tales alike. Beyond the page, she is committed to helping writers navigate the legal challenges of the publishing industry, sharing her expertise through talks and workshops.

First and foremost, my ideal mentee would be receptive to feedback. I always try to provide constructive feedback in a kind and considerate manner, and I am not looking for someone who would accept all my suggestions without question, but it would be great if they would be willing to seriously consider my feedback and experiment with revisions. I’m happy to offer more than the minimum feedback/editing rounds to help my mentee reach their goals.
