J.R. Hart is a thirty-something Kansas City-based author writing queer, neurodivergent, and disabled romance from their own lived experience. They have one incredibly talented kiddo, two rambunctious cats who share a brain cell, and far more coffee mugs than are necessary. As a mentor with a varied background in the writing community (self, indie, and hybrid publishing, and a developmental editing background), my mentee would be open to feedback that helps them find their best path forward, OR would know their preferred path forward so I can tailor feedback toward their goals. Ideally, I’d also work with a mentee who is open to written communication (discord, email, etc) more than audio or video communication, as I have an audio processing disorder. I am willing to order additional feedback rounds beyond the minimum requirement if needed, and if our working relationship is good, I’m always happy to look over future manuscripts if our schedule meshes, as I have with past mentees.
