I’d like to mentor someone who is interested in seeking a career in traditional publishing, as that is what I’m most familiar with. I hope to help foster growth with writing ability as well as helping my mentee navigate the challenges of getting noticed in the traditional publishing market. I have been a mentor twice, and both times the relationship has extended past the window of the program. I am still in contact with both of my former mentees to offer support and guidance. I usually do two rounds of edits with the full manuscript, and also help them craft their query submission package once their edits are complete.
