Surviving Humanity Coming February 2026 Featuring . . .
WriteHive is pleased to announce the authors of its annual anthology, Surviving Humanity, to be released early 2026. These stories explore the theme of surviving the struggles and traumas of this world, giving a sense of hope, determination, and resilience.
We are excited to welcome the following authors and their stories:
Story: Roiling Waves by Juliette Jarabek
Juliette Jarabek is a creative fiction writer, a fantasy fanatic, and an overall freak of life and death. Fiction is a miraculous tool to explore and understand the questions, joys, and fears of life, and that is how she strives to use her work. Through her endless pursuits and curiosities, Juliette aims to explore, educate, and inspire—and her aim is getting better!
Story: To Learn from Their Mistakes by Robin Rose Graves
Robin Rose Graves has appeared in 100-Foot Crow, Simultaneous Times Podcast and Dark Matter Magazine. She is an editor at Android Press and runs the SF booktube channel, the Book Wormhole. You can find her on Threads, BlueSky and Instagram.
Story: Asylum by Virgo Kevonté
Virgo Kevonté currently eats, writes, and works in the Eastern province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where pedestrians look both ways before crossing one-way streets. He has a couple novels looking for a home. Find this writer at virgokevonte.com
Story: Toll of the Ferryman by Rob Nisbet
Rob has had over 100 stories printed in anthologies and magazines ranging from romance (using his wife’s name) to horror. Rob’s wife has recently turned to crime! Rob also writes audio drama and have had seven audio scripts produced by Big Finish / BBC for their Doctor Who range. Rob Nisbet has won several international writing competitions including the 2022 Kepler Award for a sci-fi short story.

Story: Live a Little by Raleigh Call
Rayleigh Call is a writer and artist based in Bonney Lake, Washington. Her favorite genres to read and write are speculative fiction, science fiction, and queer romance. When she’s not painting, typing, or swapping stories with her writing group, the Comma Chameleons, she can be found gaming, gardening, or spending time with her partner and cats. Susan L. Lin is a Taiwanese American storyteller who hails from southeast Texas and holds an MFA in Writing from California College of the Arts. Her novella GOODBYE TO THE OCEAN won the 2022 Etchings Press novella prize, and her short prose and poetry have appeared in over fifty different publications. She loves to dance. Ian is a husband, father, professional chef by trade, wannabe Renaissance Man, and longtime aficionado of speculative fiction.
